Tisch or Kimmel? They Are Not the Same Address
NYU Langone's Manhattan campus is a cluster of connected buildings around First Avenue and East 34th Street, and the two main inpatient buildings have different street addresses. This is the single most common booking error at NYU Langone, because internally the buildings connect and patients assume they are one address.

A Note on Kimmel Pavilion Discharges
Kimmel Pavilion houses general and subspecialty surgery, cardiothoracic surgery, neurosurgery, neurology, haematology, bone marrow transplant and solid organ transplant services, along with intensive care and step-down units for cardiology, neuroscience and surgery. In transport terms that means a high proportion of Kimmel discharges are patients who have been in bed for a while, are deconditioned, and cannot manage a sedan even if they could walk into the building.
NYU Langone states that its social workers and care managers help with the transition from hospital to home. Ask them early — ideally the day before — whether they arrange transport, refer you to a vendor, or leave it to the family, and whether the ride may be covered.
Parking Around the First Avenue Campus
NYU Langone publishes a public parking map covering its midtown Manhattan locations, with garages and affiliated buildings across the East 30s including 145 East 32nd Street, 150 East 32nd Street, 160 East 32nd Street, 317 East 34th Street, 345 East 37th Street, 240 East 38th Street and 222 East 41st Street. Bellevue Hospital Center at 462 First Avenue sits immediately south on the same avenue, which is another reason to give a driver the building name rather than "the hospital on First Avenue".
The First Avenue Problem
First Avenue runs one way northbound, and the campus sits between the Queens–Midtown Tunnel approach and the East 34th Street Heliport, on a stretch that is heavily trafficked most of the day. A van coming from the west side or from Brooklyn will approach differently, and a driver who overshoots the entrance cannot simply turn around. This is a route worth discussing with the dispatcher rather than leaving to the app — it is one of the places where an experienced medical transport driver is measurably better than a rideshare.
